New Styles in Boys Suits and Ring Bearer Tux

When you need your little ring bearer to be ready where do you start?
Well, lets go through our helpful guide and read along about the prep time for your ring bearer.

Ring bearers with rings
Need all the details about those little dudes who are in line to help with the wedding party? A young boy will traditionally play one or two roles:page or ring bearer. Pages will assist the bride with an extra-long train, while ring bearers bring the wedding rings (sometimes fakes that look like the wedding rings) to carry up to the altar in front or everyone to see.

Responsibilities

The ring bearer, traditionally a young gentleman aged five to eleven, walks down the aisle after the flower girls , with a pillow in his hands and two rings laced to it. With the thoughtful preparation not to misplace these rings sometimes the display rings are fakes.
After all with all the bustling and running around to prepare, should he step out sight for a moment to play, the rings may disappear and from the pillow and if these are just for show there won't be any last moment surprises.
However you choose to delagate the ring bearers duties, be sure he's told about his job ahead of time. It's a good idea to include him in any rehearsal, so the full implications of his duties (walking down an aisle all by himself with a hundred people watching) don't come as a big shock and he has time to prepare his nerves for his moment in the spot light.

Who to Choose?

You'll probably want to choose a young family member. Perhaps there is more than one young boy in the family. There is no rule that says there need be only one boy for the job, especially if he is very young it may be helpful to have a pertner to gain courage.  If you don't know any young boys, don't sweat it: Having a ring bearer is a great way to include young family members in your wedding ceremony, but a ring bearer isn't a necessity. In most cases, the best man will be holding the real rings anyhow.

What They Wear

There's a variety of style options for these little dudes. Check out our ring bearer's attire article for suggestions.

What To Wear To A Church And Black Tie Wedding (Plus Size Style)

Written by Elena and posted in outfit ideas, plus size dresses, plus size fashion
Hey there curvy girls,
It’s officially wedding season and the invitations are racking up. You now have the dilemma of what to wear to each wedding. There are some important factors to think about when looking for the perfect outfit.

  • What time of the day is the wedding?
  • Where is the wedding taking place?
If you are attending a day time church wedding. This is the perfect occasion to wear your little black dress. Wear your little black dress with a chic pair of heels, perfect jewlry, and a clutch. If the weather is a little chilly you can add a blazer or a light weight jacket. This look is simply, stylish and classic. Get the look below:
Lastly, there is the black tie wedding that usually takes place later in the evening. The wedding attire should be a long gown. This is when you get glammed up for head to toe. If you aren’t into the long gowns you can definitely wear a short dress with adorable pumps.  Get the look below: Womens Plus Size dresses can be found at Sugar Glam womens stores.

When determining the kind of wedding party dress that is right for you, determining your specific body shape is a good place to start. Perhaps you carry more weight around your mid-section and chest than you do your lower half, otherwise known as “top-heavy.” If this is the case, consider having a playful hemline that swishes about the knee instead of your ankles so you can show off your lovely calves. Your overall look doesn’t have to favor one half of your body, so you can lean towards embellishments being on the skirt while you keep jewelry simple.

If you do not have a distinct waist, you can raise the skirt higher along the torso so your stomach is softened by an A-line bottom. If you want to look elegant with a higher waist line go for an empress style. This creates a smoothing look down the torso.

Perhaps you are what is known as “pear-shaped,” meaning that your lower-half is thicker than your upper half. (Thats ME!) If this is the case, look for a fitted top that will help accentuate your slimmer half and have a skirt that flair out slightly above the waist to help cloak the wide hips and thighs. Use design or eye-grabbing accessories to draw attention to your slimmer top to balance your overall aesthetic.

Above all else, select a dress that makes you feel sexy and comfortable.  You should be enjoying yourself during such an exciting event and not preoccupied with the task of “sucking it in.” When trying on dresses, move around in it as you would during your wedding; this means, sit down, walk around and maybe even dance a little in it. Remember, the thing that is going to truly make you shine as a bride is confidence and the elation that comes from knowing that you are rocking your life.

Summer Time Must Haves

Summer Time Dress
Memorial Day is here, and everyone is putting away the sweaters and pulling out the summer boxes. That means new dresses will be out in the stores and we have an early summer favorite. Floral prints look amazing on little girls for all sorts of warm weather occasions.

Perfect for the beach, the outdoors, and any June or July wedding, summer styles offer coolness and comfort in addition to flair. Slip on a pair of ballerina slippers, flats, or pumps, and you're ready for almost anything the heat can bring.
Perfect for this May this dress is a multi layered organza flower print. The organza is a light weight fabric with a sheer appearance for a cool breathable feeling. Nice bright summer poppies are pinned to the waist for an uplifting happy childlike design. This dress is perfect for everyday wear and can quickly be dresses up with bobby socks and gloves for a well put together Sunday best ensemble.

Each dress is just a little bit different dues to the print cut. Don't forget her sunscreen and sunhat. This sleeveless design is exactly what everyone wants for an out door event, but protection is still needed for those delicate arms.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Your inner child says its time to cool off and enjoy that bowl of ice cream.  As ice cream is a summertime favorite of children and adults, an ice cream bar is a perfect addition to any summer birthday party, baby shower, wedding, family reunion, of that special graduation!

Don't forget it's more fun when you put out the sprinkles, gummies, nuts, and sugars for self serve.. For easy clean up disposable is the way to go. These plastic waffle bowls make the perfect ice cream dish for the little ones; for older children and adults, give them the option of dipped waffle cones or waffle bowls. And of course, don’t forget the ice cream! Everyone loves the classics vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry or choose different flavors like peanut butter, coconut chocolate chip, and espresso. Or, for a healthier option, opt for frozen yogurt.

Hope your summer parties are fashionable and fun!
